About ERD Catering

A restaurant and cafe on Chase Side in Enfield.

Who we are

Allergens, alcohol, and being honest about both

ERD Catering Ltd is registered for licensed restaurants (SIC 56101) and unlicensed restaurants and cafes (SIC 56102), at 131 Chase Side in Enfield.

Information on the 14 allergens regulated in law is available for everything we serve, and it comes before you order. If you tell us about an allergy or intolerance we will check it properly. What we will not do is say “it should be fine” to move a table along.

The honest part is cross-contact. We prepare a range of dishes in one kitchen, using shared equipment, surfaces and frying oil, so we cannot promise that any dish is entirely free of an allergen even when the recipe does not contain it. For a severe allergy that matters.

On alcohol: the premises operate under a premises licence granted under the Licensing Act 2003. Alcohol is sold only to people aged 18 or over, and only within the hours and conditions that licence allows. We operate Challenge 25, so if you look under 25 we will ask for a passport, photocard driving licence or PASS-accredited card, and we will not serve you without one. It is an offence to buy alcohol for someone under 18, and it is an offence for us to sell alcohol to a person who is drunk. We will refuse service, and arguing will not change the answer.

We do not run irresponsible promotions - no drinking games, no unlimited-drink offers, no promotions that reward drinking quickly or in volume. Licensing law prohibits them and we would not want them. Alcohol-free and soft drinks are available at all times, and so is free drinking water.
